FORESTRY, BIOFUELS and WIND ENERGY – 2008 - Present
Analysis of renewable energy potential in timberland regions. Using remote sensing technology and computer modeling for feasibility studies and project siting.
URBAN MAPPING, AIR QUALITY, ENERGY and ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT 1994-present
Providing products and services for mapping urban heat
island characteristics from remotely sensed satellite and aircraft
imagery. Projects include mapping three million hectares surrounding Houston, Texas for the state government; greater Atlanta, Georgia for
the US Environmental Protection Agency; mapping the conditions
in Tallahassee, Florida; Sacramento, California; and the New
York City region for local utility companies; and mapping Washington,
D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland for the Department of Energy.

HOMELAND SECURITY, 2004 - 2005
Participating member of the science team for the DHS/DTRA New York City Urban Dispersion Program. Providing remote sensing and GIS expertise to support atmospheric modeling applications.
ATMOSPHERIC MODELING, 2002 - 2005
Developing satellite image analysis techniques for sub-grid surface parameterization in atmospheric modeling programs.
Developing software visualization systems for 4D data sets of imagery, terrain, meteorology, air chemistry, observation data in real-time as well as historical time sequences.
COLLABORATION WITH NASA, 2000 - 2007
Signed a five year Space Act Agreement with NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in March 2002 for the commercialization of remote sensing technology for urban programs.
Signed a Joint Sponsored Research Agreement with NASA Stennis Space Center in May 2000 to develop remote sensing technology for urban heat island applications.

NATURAL RESOURCE MAPPING WITH 3-D IMAGERY, 1997 present
First company to introduce color enhanced 5-meter satellite
imagery to the forest industry in British Columbia, Canada. Conducting
an on-going development of products, services and solutions for
forest management companies and government. Clients include the
Provincial Forest Service and private firms. Solutions include
3D fly-through visualizations and information extraction.

REMOTE SENSING IN COASTAL ENVIRONMENTS, 1991-1992
Oceanographic applications of satellite imagery were developed
to assess the biological, chemical and physical properties of
coastal waters and coral reefs along the Florida Keys. Information
included concentrations of chlorophyll, phytoplankton, sedimentation,
temperature, bathymetry, and coral bleaching.
Florida Keys
REMOTE SENSING IN WILDERNESS AREAS, 1989 - present
Developed a remote sensing program to analyze wilderness areas.
Remote sensing capabilities were analyzed for vegetative species
identification, natural vs. disturbed land cover detection, forest
stand density, wetlands classification, and GIS integration.

SATELLITE IMAGERY IN LAND USE AND AGRICULTURAL MANAGEMENT, 1988
The land use and agricultural patterns of Kauai, Hawaii were
surveyed to assess the potential for satellite imagery in land
use planning and agricultural management.
