ATMOSPHERIC MODELING, 2002 - 2005

Developing satellite image analysis techniques for sub-grid surface parameterization in atmospheric modeling programs.
Developing software visualization systems for 4D data sets of imagery, terrain, meteorology, air chemistry, observation data in real-time as well as historical time sequences.

COLLABORATION WITH NASA, 2000 - 2007

Signed a five year Space Act Agreement with NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in March 2002 for the commercialization of remote sensing technology for urban programs.
Signed a Joint Sponsored Research Agreement with NASA Stennis Space Center in May 2000 to develop remote sensing technology for urban heat island applications.

REMOTE SENSING IN COASTAL ENVIRONMENTS, 1991-1992

Oceanographic applications of satellite imagery were developed to assess the biological, chemical and physical properties of coastal waters and coral reefs along the Florida Keys. Information included concentrations of chlorophyll, phytoplankton, sedimentation, temperature, bathymetry, and coral bleaching.

SATELLITE IMAGERY IN LAND USE AND AGRICULTURAL MANAGEMENT, 1988

The land use and agricultural patterns of Kauai, Hawaii were surveyed to assess the potential for satellite imagery in land use planning and agricultural management.

COMPUTER MAPPING SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT, 1981-1987

Directed the research and development of computer mapping technology for integrated tracking, navigation and communication systems. Developed proprietary algorithms for the automated extraction of features from scanned maps and photographs for dynamic system interface. Negotiated systems development for U.S. Naval Intelligence and foreign Defense Ministries.
