Advanced Processing of Satellite Imagery
Satellite imagery is often combined with complimentary
data sources to synergize new understanding and awareness of the
Earth's resources. Three dimensional perspective views can be
generated by draping two dimensional imagery over digital terrain
models. Differnet spatial and spectral resolutions can be merged
to enhance land-cover and feature identification. Imagery from
different dates can be combined for change detection analysis,
and cloud cover removal. Broad area coverage can be produced by
mosaicking adjacent satellite scenes together.
