The following LANDSAT and SPOT scenes over New York City demonstrate the size of full scene coverage from each sensor as well as the level of detail that can be viewed at full resolution when zooming in on Central Park in Manhattan.

covers 60 by 60 kilometers

The resolution of LANDSAT's visible and infrared bands is 30 meters. The resolution of SPOT's Panchromatic band is 10 meters.
